Product End-of-Life Management: Discontinue a Product

You now have the option to stop generating forecasts for a product at a specific date, allowing you to better manage your forecasts based on the product's lifecycle. Whether it's for a product at the end of its market life or a limited edition, this feature provides you additional flexibility to prevent unnecessary overstock.

To manage this information, go to the General Information tab of the relevant item. Start by clicking the Edit  button to modify the lifecycle data.

To discontinue the item, check the Discontinued checkbox, enter the end date, and then click Save.

Displaying or Filtering Lifecycle Information

In the Navigator, you can display Lifecycle information by editing the view settings. Similarly, you can add Lifecycle data to a report by applying the same logic in the Reports tab.

In a Navigator's view, Forecast Edition or Report, you can also filter your data to display only discontinued product forecasts. Click on Add filter, select Demand Forecasting, then choose Discontinued, and set it to true. If you are only interested in active products, just select false instead.

Similarly, you can filter your data based on the associated discontinued date to refine your search before or after certain dates.
