🧭Understand how to use the Navigator

This article describes how the Navigator works to facilitate access to your forecasts

Updated over 10 months ago

When your account contains your data or demo data, you have the option to access the Navigator tab.

A Navigator for the finest granularity forecasts

The Navigator allows you to quickly access lists of forecasts.

It should be noted that the forecasts visible in this tool are always at the finest granularity, depending on your account configuration.

So, if you have imported your data at the item level, you can only view item-level forecasts in the Navigator . To view them in aggregate form, you must use Forecast Edition.

Similarly, if you have configured your account to manage forecasts by item x customer, you will only see forecasts at that granularity in the Navigator.

Managing Navigator views

The purpose of the Navigator is to create views to quickly filter a set of forecasts.

Simply create views based on the properties of the items you are interested in or the properties related to your customers if you manage forecasts at that granularity.

You can then choose the columns to display in the table based on your interest. With this table, you can easily visualize a set of information, including ABC classes and the percentage of each element.

Create a view or customize an existing view

Simply click on the Create new view... button or the Edit view... button if you already have a view that you want to modify.

By clicking on one of these two buttons, you will arrive at the screen below.

Once on this screen, you have the ability to modify your view to suit your needs. You can customize the preview table by adding or removing columns and creating filters. For more details on this aspect, you can refer to this article.

Create a report from a custom view

You have the option to create a custom report from any view by clicking on the Create report from view... button. This way, you will be able to easily export your data.

This action takes us directly to the Reports tab, the use of which is detailed in this article.

Access details of your view (forecast, KPI, and general information)

To access the elements of a view, simply click on one of the eye-shaped icons below :

In the detailed view of each item (or combination if you are using a finer granularity), you have access to three tabs :

  • Demand Forecasting

  • Key Performance Indicators

  • General Information

We will detail how to use these tabs.

How does the Demand Forecasting tab work

For detailed explanations about this tab, you can consult our dedicated article.

How does the Key Performance Indicators tab work

You need to have forecast archives in your account to view data on this tab. This Key Performance Indicators tab is detailed in this article.

How does the General Information tab work

Finally, General Information gathers the properties that characterize an item (or a combination if you are working at a finer granularity), such as its description, and all its custom fields. Financial data is also visible on this tab: price, cost, profit.
