The Data import wizard detects when your file does not include every field in your forecast granularity and lets you confirm an aggregated import.
When to use an aggregated import
Use this option when each row in your file represents a group of forecast elements rather than one individual element.
For example, your forecasts may be defined by Part number × Location, while your file identifies a Location but does not include a Part number. The imported value must then be distributed among the part numbers at that location.
How to import your file
Open the Data upload wizard and select Upload forecast or Upload budget.
At Definition of the forecast level, select the fields represented in your file. In the example above, select Location.
When the wizard detects that the selected fields do not cover your full forecast granularity, click “These rows are at an aggregated level” to confirm.
Continue with the upload. SKU Science distributes each imported value across the matching forecast elements.
How are imported values distributed?
SKU Science distributes an aggregated value among the matching elements according to their shares of the current consensus forecast for the relevant period.
For example, suppose you import a value of 1 000 for a location. If Part 1 accounts for 60% of the current forecast period at that location and Part 2 accounts for 40%, SKU Science allocates:

What about “Create new element when there’s no match”?
Do not select “Create new element when there’s no match” for an aggregated import. That option is intended for rows that identify a single element at your full forecast granularity. An aggregated row represents a group of elements and cannot identify one new element to create.
Which imports support this option?
Aggregated imports are available for external forecasts and budgets in the Data upload wizard. This behavior does not apply to demand or orders imports.
What happens to products with “Baseline to 0” enabled?
If a product with “Baseline to 0” enabled is included in an imported aggregated forecast, it inherits a share of that forecast. Its adjustment line automatically shows 0.
