You want to upload new sales periods

  • to get new forecasts

  • and observe the performance of your previous forecasts.

At this point you have already uploaded data to the platform.
So you know how to prepare your new file.
In this file, as in the first upload, one or two columns will be required to specify the article and the location (optional) which will receive this new data in addition to sales data already existing on the platform.

If you had uploaded sales data up to March 2019, and you want to load new data for the period April 2019, you only need to load

  • a file with a minimum of 2 columns: article, location (optional), April 2019

  • a file containing all the April orders with at least 3 columns: the references of the article, the location (optional), the quantity and the date of invoicing.

If you upload data for periods already present on the platform, for example February and March 2019, note that the values already present will be replaced by those of your upload.

To add your latest sales, click on the gear icon, located at the top right of the tool.

Then click on "Import Wizard" to access the import options.

Click the "Upload SKU data ..." button.

Step 1/3: File selection

Then you must select your file (XLSX or CSV).

Step 2/3 : Import settings

As with the first upload, the wizard tries to detect dates in your file.

If the wizard detects dates in the header of the file, it will display the table below to avoid interpretation errors during the upload.
Here the wizard detects my column for the month of April.

If your file contains sales orders, then the wizard will have to be configured with the option "Dates in a column". In this case you must select in your file the column for the dates, and the column for the quantities.

Make sure you have the correct formats selected, otherwise modify them.

You must specify the item/ SKU definition fields according to how you want to match the data already in the database, depending on what you uploaded previously.

Finally, click on "Confirm" to validate the upload of the file.

Step 3/3 : Start the import

Once the task is done, you should normally find your new sales data in your SKUs.

Otherwise, contact us via our interface in the tool or at

Then just run all the calculations to update your forecast based on these new sales data.

When you start all your calculations on the platform, SKU Science automatically archives your latest forecasts to allow you to follow key performance indicators (KPI) in order to improve them from one period to another.
You can find your old forecasts by clicking on the "Forecast as of" drop-down menu. By selecting a forecast, you will see the error appear for each period covered by your actual sales.
